The exhibition “The working tools of the Salinari” opens on Saturday 15 April at 5.00 pm at the Saline Visitor Center in via Bova, 61, which will remain open until 30 April every Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30.

The exhibition is organized by the Ecomuseo del Sale e del Mare, the FESTA association and the Saline Visitor Center and offers the display of a series of hand-painted ceramic tiles representing a landscape map of Cervia.

The idea was born last year during the lessons of the second cycle for the training of ecomuseum facilitators in which the need to tell the city through landscape maps developed, a tool that allows you to perceive a place or a landscape including collective memories , actions, activities, values suggested by the facilitators themselves, pushed to identify issues that have to do more with people than with official geography.

Landscape maps can be unlimited and constantly implemented thanks to the ideas suggested by the community.

After the map on the piadina that has found realization in a shopper or the map on the salt control points already distributed at MUSA and in the main tourist information offices, it is now the turn of the salt workers' work tools reproduced in precious tiles created by ceramist Claudia Farneti.
The choice of the working tools of the salt workers is intended to remind us of the importance of that hard work, a source of sustenance for many families, and which today pass down to us the history of our salt works.
