Commissioners of the European Commission visit the Ecomuseum

On Tuesday 25 October Cervia hosted two members of the European Commission in defense of the Faro Convention. The document starts from the concept that the knowledge and use of cultural heritage are part of the individual's rights to freely take part in the cultural life of the community and to enjoy the arts.
Gianluca Silvestrini, of the Council of Europe and Prosper Wanner, former teacher of the Ecomuseum training courses, were able to marry the philosophy of the Ecomuseum of Salt and Sea. The fishermen accompanied them along their Heritage Walk in the Borgomarina in defense of the ancient traditions of the sea, they tasted freshly caught fish and cooked on the spot, while in the afternoon it was the turn of the salt workers who illustrated MUSA. Cervia and the Ecomuseum adhere to the Faro agreement with the Heritage Walks in the Borgomarina and in the historic center, the Heritage Days, the courses for facilitators and the TREBBI in the foreseen.

We look forward to a long collaboration with the European Commission.
