Salina Camillone

The European Heritage Days are born this year under the sign of: Heritage All Inclusive. Cultural heritage, today more than ever, must become within everyone's reach. Precisely for this reason we are going to propose a Blind Friendly Heritage Walk to the traditional Camillone salt pan. The goal is to allow people with visual impairments to fully experience one of our most important cultural traditions, salt extraction, promoting the importance of creating an inclusive and sensorial experience.

Walking in the salt, touching it, tasting it, smelling the scents of the salt pan and listening to the salt workers talk about a cultural tradition that has made the history of Cervia will become the goal of this Heritage Walk.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME of course so that the world of the sighted can join that of the blind for an exchange of experiences related to the world of salt and more.

During the week that includes the Heritage Days, the “Maria Goia” Library of Cervia will present a themed showcase dedicated to the world of the blind and visually impaired.
